    Björn Bergmann Sigurðarson

I see he started in the game yesterday. How did he do? Remember he's only 18 years, so if he did badly dont be too harsh on him

I think he's got a big future in the game, hopefully at Lilleström for many years, but with teams like Man Utd having shown an interest in him maybe Lilleström will get big money for him.

You can reply in Norwegian as I understand it completely, just dont have the patience to write it.

Men skuddet altfor løst.

The boy impressed me, at least, even though of course he should've scored. He has good pace, a very good first touch - and very good balance, which is a quality sadly lacking from most of our strikers...

I hope he gets another opportunity against Rosenborg, I really liked what I saw.

How is Björn Bergmann doing? Has he progressed the way you thought or been a disapointment. I was quite suprised he was not selected for the Iceland U-21's couple of weeks ago. Then again we have outstanding talents in that agegroup as we beat Northern Ireland 6-2 away and could have scored more. He has to buckle up and better himself to get a chance.

Also surprised that he wasnt selected for two U-19s friendlies against Scotland away, which Iceland won 2-0 and 3-1, last week. But we also have great young players there so maybe Björn Bergmann is behind those players in quality. I hope not as I have high hopes for him in the future.

Lilleström should defiantly look at some of these young Icelandic players as there are some real talents there. For example 18 years old striker, Pape Mamadou Faye, who scored 3 goals in the 2 games against Scotland. He is on par if not better than Björn I think.

Björn has been doing quite good lately. He has not started any games for the 1st team, but he seems to be "next in line" as he is often used as a sub, getting minutes towards the end of our matches. It should also be mentioned that Arild Sundgot and Edwin Eizyodawe has shown excellent form and cooperation lately. This hasn't made Björns job any easier, as he competes for the same spot as them.

Against Stabäk (defending champions) he got 20 minutes and used them well. He set Edwin up to a huge chance with a nice pass, and impressivly made his way through Stabäks defensive line, leaving him almost alone with the goalie. Unfortunately, he was under pressure when he made the shot, and that got him out of balance. Nonetheless a great effort. He also had a good left foot shot from 16-18 meters, that almost touched the crossbar. A lot of the supporters "fell in love" with him after that game, but it's hard to find room for three strikers in a 4-4-2 team.

Against Odd he got some minutes as well, but the situation did not allow him to use his offensive qualities. Still, he worked hard to support the defense, and sent one of Odds players flying in a duel. His physical strength has been a real surprise to me, at least. In both games he demonstrated that he has got more than enough muscles to play TL-games.

Björn has also been troubled by a back-injury in the first half of the season, but when he has been available for play, he's usually in the 1st teams matchsquad. He's also played a lot of games for Lilleströms relegation-facing 2nd team. Lately they seem to have gotten better results, and in their last game against Fram Larvik, Bergman really stood forth. He delivered three goals and a nice assist from a midfield position and was reportedly man of the match.

Rumor has it that he's been very homesick during his stay with us, but hopefully he feels a bit more at home now that Logi came to town. I still feel concerned about the boy though. That's why i'm asking you, Vikingur, to convince KR and Ingolfur Sigurdsson to make transfer deal with LSK as soon as possible. I'm sure you won't let me down.

Bjørn was sent on towards the end of the first half of todays match against Bodø/Glimt. He replaced a injured Igiebor and went on to score LSKs equalising goal, his first goal in Tippeligaen. The match ended 2-2, after a horrible first half by LSK.
