Leeds win race for Icelander

Skysports.com understand that Leeds United have won the race for Icelandic international Gylfi Einarsson.
The 25-year-old is available on a free transfer from Norwegian side Lillestrom.
Leeds and Cardiff had both held talks with the Scandinavian, but a deal has been struck with the West Yorkshire outfit.
Einarsson can play in midfield or up front and will provide valuable options for Leeds manager Kevin Blackwell.
The Icelander is expected to sign early next week and will train with Leeds from December, although he cannot make his debut until January.
It is thought that Leeds will try and register Einarsson to play in December, but it looks unlikely that permission will be granted.
