Nantes

Le Football Club de Nantes stiftet 21. april 1943, da byens fem fotballklubber, Saint-Pierre, Stade Nantais UC, AC Batignolles, ASO Nantaise og Mellinet slo seg sammen.

Nantes er Frankrikes kanarifugler, Les Canaris eller La Maison jaune (the yellow house).
